Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize streaming and batch data pipelines.
Manage schema evolution, data contracts, and dbt-based ELT workflows.
Tune Big Query performance and optimize resource usage.
Define and advocate for scalable data storage and processing patterns.
Implement testing and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy.
Deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform and contribute to CI/CD workflows.
Collaborate with BI, Product, and Platform teams to develop decision-driving data models.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
Strong command of SQL and Python.
Proven experience with GCP data tools including Big Query, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
Practical experience with dbt and Airflow or Cloud Composer.
Deep understanding of data modeling, incremental loading, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with data security, IAM, and cost control best practices.
Must be currently residing in Dubai.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to real-time data streaming and CDC tools.
Experience with Data Vault or lakehouse architecture.
Hands-on knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD automation.
Previous experience in gaming, fintech, or other data-intensive industries.
