About the Opportunity: Signatus is exclusively partnering with a pioneering alternative legal services provider to appoint a new Legal Director. This pivotal senior role demands a blend of deep legal expertise, sharp commercial instincts, and a proactive client-centric approach. The Legal Director will lead the strategic evolution of the legal function, optimising delivery and driving innovative legal solutions that align seamlessly with commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and refine legal secondment services into comprehensive managed legal solutions.
• Act as the primary strategic advisor during the client engagement lifecycle, ensuring legal services are bespoke, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes.
• Manage the seamless deployment and oversight of legal secondees, providing strategic direction and expert escalation support.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, bridging commercial strategy and legal execution.
• Collaborate closely with the talent management team to identify and develop consultant capabilities, influencing strategic recruitment to align with business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery through the creation of innovative legal operations solutions and tools.
• Implement targeted training and professional development programs to foster a consultancy mindset and elevate performance.

Your Profile:

• Essential:
  Prior experience within ALSP, LMS, or Legal Tech companies environment.
• Qualified legal professional with 8+ years’ experience, ideally with substantial in-house counsel background in technology-driven sectors.
• Demonstrated track record in aligning legal service models with strategic commercial objectives.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal engagements, transforming them into scalable solutions.
• Highly adept at stakeholder management with proven comfort in engaging and influencing senior legal and business leaders.
• Forward-thinking innovator passionate about redefining traditional legal service delivery.
• Exceptional mentoring and leadership skills to build and sustain a vibrant consultancy culture.
