Judicium Education exists to keep schools and trusts safe by providing trusted professional services that focus on quality, reliability, and scale. We believe in the power of our people and encourage self‑driven innovation. We work with you to drive your career development, providing you with learning opportunities and great specialist support.

We provide market‑leading Data Protection Officer services to over 1,700 schools and academies across the United Kingdom, supporting them with everything from conducting data protection audits to drafting data policies and procedures, managing data requests to providing training for employees.

About the Role:

We have an exciting opening for a Data Protection Consultant to join us. Our consultants are true Data Protection experts, with a diverse range of experience and approaches.

We are passionate about Data Protection and are seeking a like‑minded professional who values excellent service as much as we do.

Day‑to‑day, you will be:

Conducting data compliance audits for clients, analysing findings and presenting the results in detailed audit reports with recommendations and follow‑up actions.

Reviewing policies and procedures to assess data protection compliance and providing practical recommendations for improvement.

Responding to client queries by phone or email, offering clear, practical advice and guidance, conducting research, setting out options and managing any follow‑up.

Drafting and reviewing Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Maintaining regular contact with clients to monitor progress towards compliance.

Delivering training sessions to clients, ensuring staff understand and can fulfil their responsibilities.

Assisting clients to handle data requests and data breaches in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • A proactive member of the data protection team, contributing to department meetings, presenting areas for discussion and development ideas.

Please note, this role is not suitable for aspiring or experienced data analysts. Our overall role focuses on advising and supporting clients with data protection advice and guidance.

While we usually work in a hybrid way, with one day per week at our London Bloomsbury office, we can discuss remote working opportunities for this role.

About You:

You will possess prior Data Protection experience and strong subject matter knowledge.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver a robust and tailored service to clients.

You will be able to work autonomously, with proven experience of data protection compliance.

You will be comfortable reviewing and drafting policies and procedures with excellent analytical, research and report writing skills.

You will have high‑level problem‑solving skills, with the capability to produce high quality, professional content.

Ideally, you will have experience delivering client training sessions both virtually and in person.

Experience in Education, Legal, Regulatory or Consultancy sectors would be desirable.
