Senior Platform Engineer

Job Description

The Alta Video Cloud-based video security solution from Motorola Solutions has demonstrated several solid years of significant growth. We are now looking to further expand with an additional Senior Platform Engineer to support our Platform and Operations Team based out of our Uxbridge office.

Office location:
Uxbridge (West London). We fully embrace a hybrid home/office working model, with an aim for 2 days in the office.

• Develop and scale our cloud platform for both R&D and production environments.
• Manage day‑to‑day operation of our infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments, including Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
• Adopt and drive a security‑first mindset across everything you do.
• Improve existing work, in regards to processes and tools.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments within design, technology, and security, and suggest short and long‑term solutions.
• Collaborate with software development teams to shape our unified security solution.

• Outstanding technical ability.
• Self‑starter and strong analytical thinker, able to reason through complex problems and convert outline requirements into detailed implementation plans.
• Passionate technologist with infrastructure knowledge in Linux, AWS and/or GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Bash.
• Committed to airtight tests and operational excellence beyond day 0/1 needs.
• Proficient in using and creating the right tools for the job and sharing them.
• Comfortable with chaos‑engineering principles to make systems robust.
• English proficiency.

• Cloud architecture development across Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.
• Experience with a modern high‑level programming language such as Go, Python or JavaScript.
• Knowledgeable in CI/CD processes and tooling (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
