Sage Developer (Sage 300 / Sage X3 / Sage Intacct)

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Sage Developer with expertise in Sage 300, Sage X3, or Sage Intacct to support the development, customization, and optimization of ERP and financial system solutions. This role will focus on integrations, system enhancements, and supporting business-critical financial workflows across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Sage development experience, a solid understanding of ERP and finance systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain customizations within Sage 300, Sage X3, or Sage Intacct
- Build and support integrations between Sage platforms and third-party applications
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable ERP solutions
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization
- Develop automation solutions to improve financial and operational workflows
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, deployments, and enhancements
- Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards
- Ensure best practices for security, scalability, and system performance are followed
Requirements
- Strong experience developing within Sage 300, Sage X3, or Sage Intacct
- Experience working with Sage APIs, integrations, and financial systems
- Background in ERP systems, accounting software, or finance technology environments
- Experience with scripting languages, middleware, or integration platforms is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver practical solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Must be based in Canada and authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have
- Experience in ERP consulting or SaaS environments
- Knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON, or related technologies
- Experience working with cloud-based ERP systems
- Sage certifications are considered an asset
