About the Role
Join our Ground Engineering Team as an IT Support Engineer for Sizewell C in Suffolk, delivering complex work that supports the business and the world. The role focuses on day‑to‑day Project IT activities, including site mobilisation, end‑user and IT system support, and system security for GSA users on Sizewell sites, offices and remote locations.
This is a site‑based role that requires five days a week on site.
What you'll be doing- Support tasks and activity
- Support Call management: logging, escalation, resolution
- IT infrastructure and services: manage changes, troubleshoot network connectivity, network services (printing and scanning), telephone, video and telephony conferencing
- Rollout IT: enabling new hardware (PCs, screens, projectors, etc.)
- New user onboarding: prepare new kits, connect new users to Office 365 and other IT services, install and configure software, configure printers, and provide training
- End‑user support via telephone, Teams, email, remote tools – troubleshooting existing software products and assisting project users with meeting room set‑up, IT training and office facilities
- Escalation: 2nd‑tier escalation to Service Desk or IT Manager, with follow‑up and feedback to users
- Asset inventory and administration: receiving, inventory, allocation of equipment; processing leavers and damaged equipment and reporting
- Procedures, forms & training: creating user procedures, training project users and producing digital record sheets
- Research and development: find new ways of improving IT services to aid the project
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience with 365 administration
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products, including SharePoint and Power Apps
- Very good working knowledge of PCs, networks and cloud services
- Strong time and task management skills
- Can‑do attitude
- Willingness to undergo training or orientation
- Smart working with staggered start and finish times and up to 40% remote working where roles allow
- 25 days paid annual leave (pro‑rata)
