The Role
The Ops Manager is the operational lead who establishes how the perps business runs day-to-day and keeps it running as it scales. This person builds the operating model from the ground up at launch: trade lifecycle management, reconciliation workflows, back-office configuration, and the incident response frameworks that keep risk, compliance, and product teams aligned. A live perpetuals platform cannot operate without someone in this function from day one, and the quality of what gets built here determines operational resilience through the growth phase.

- Manage the trade lifecycle: funding, settlement, reconciliation across ledger and liquidations.
- Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Technology on day-to-day issue resolution.
- Own day-to-day configuration management through the back-office admin surface: pair listings, leverage tier limits, fee schedule updates, and risk-limit adjustments.
- Improve operational workflows to support team and user growth.
- Build runbooks and SOPs for incident response, recon failures.

- Deep familiarity with crypto futures operations, and risk-monitoring enforcement.
- Experience scaling an ops team through a launch and rapid growth phase.
- Strong written communication for runbooks and incident retros.
- Ability to live The Pepperstone Way.
- Committed to ongoing learning and development.
- Familiarity with exchange admin panels and back-office configuration tooling.
- Hands‑on use of agentic AI tooling (e.g., Claude) for runbook drafting, incident classification, and recon‑anomaly investigation.
