Business Analyst – Nottingham – Legal
A Business Analyst with experience in either IT Change or Software / Applications is required by a leading law firm based in Nottingham. Any experience as a Business Analyst in a professional services company, such as Financial Services, Banking, Legal, Insurance etc. would be great, but experience working as a Business Analyst for a law firm is very much preferred.
They offer primarily hybrid working, so 2-3 days a week in the office and 2-3 days working from home, with some flex on the hours worked.
Qualifications- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, working within IT or Business Change for a law firm
- Ability to work on multiple IT BA projects, within either IT Business Change, Systems, Software delivery or IT Infrastructure
- Bring different areas of the business together, gather requirements and create the most viable technical solutions
- A critical thinker and willing to challenge the norm
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Accountable and proactive in improving the BA process
- Focus on efficiency and streamlining software and applications
- Experience from inception through to delivery of projects
- Bonus: experience of being a BA in professional services such as Financial Services, Legal, Insurance, etc.
- Understand overall business delivery projects and provide influence to ensure projects run smoothly and satisfy stakeholders
- Engage with all parts of the business to create functional specifications from business requirements and liaise with teams across the business
- Work on medium to large‑scale projects across all areas of the business, including IT, Finance, HR, software, etc.
- Undertake analysis work, including requirements gathering, creating functional specifications, process mapping, coordination of user testing, and analysis
- Provide concise reporting to key stakeholders and support the delivery of strategic initiatives
- Participate in a range of projects including IT, software, and change management
