Design and build scalable data models, analytics frameworks, and reporting solutions to transform large, complex vulnerability datasets into actionable insights. The role focuses on enabling visibility into risk exposure, remediation progress, and trend analysis through structured data and transparent reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Data Modeling & Integration
- Build and maintain scalable relational data models integrating vulnerability, asset, and system data.
- Standardize and normalize data from multiple sources into a consistent, queryable format.
- Support efficient data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
- Metrics & Analytics Framework
- Define and implement key KPIs, including vulnerability exposure (open, critical, aged), SLA adherence and backlog tracking, Mean Time to Patch (MTTP).
- Develop frameworks to identify risk drivers, recurring issues, and systemic patterns.
- Reporting & Visualization
- Deliver automated weekly reports (trendlines, SLA tracking, backlog movement).
- Create monthly risk posture snapshots highlighting improvements or regressions.
- Build dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) for operational and executive insight.
- Trend Analysis & Insight
- Perform root cause and trend analysis across vulnerabilities, CVEs, and asset types.
- Identify control gaps and emerging risk patterns.
- Translate findings into clear insights answering:
What changed? Why? What action is needed?
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with security, risk, and engineering teams.
- Define data standards, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
- Communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or quantitative roles.
- Strong SQL expertise and experience with relational data modeling at scale.
- Proficiency in Python (or similar) for data transformation and automation.
- Experience handling large, complex datasets.
- Strong capability in KPI design, trend analysis, and performance measurement.
- Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or risk analytics.
- Familiarity with CVEs, risk scoring, and SLA-based remediation.
- Hands‑on experience with Power BI or Tableau dashboards.
- Understanding of data governance, quality, and standardization.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently and drive insights end‑to‑end.
- Curiosity to explore data and uncover meaningful patterns.
- Ability to communicate data‑driven insights clearly to stakeholders.
