Business Systems/ Tech Analyst, IT Business Analyst
Our valued financial services client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to provide project support for Financial ERP Solutions (IFS) on an initial 1‑year contract opportunity with potential extension. Preferred candidates are based in the NCR and can work from office; remote work options are available. The role requires 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Finance Applications team and contribute to the support, configuration, enhancement, development, and implementation of the IFS ERP platform and related financial applications. The focus will be on procure‑to‑pay processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and system integrations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholder teams in planning, design, configuration and deployment of current functionality and enhancements within the IFS ERP Platform (with a focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial integrations).
- Participate in financial systems projects involving purchasing, invoicing, receivables, payables, and related business processes.
- Work with functional managers to define business and financial requirements, set system goals and identify and resolve system issues.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of application enhancements, from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment and user adoption.
- Manage and drive external consulting relationships and related deliverables.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing financial systems and develop strategies for improving and leveraging them, including interfaces between systems.
- Assess vendor roadmaps and determine the impacts on long‑ and short‑term lifecycle planning for financial system upgrades and new application or system procurement.
- Conduct unit tests on system improvements; plan, organize and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Lead and convene working groups to address specific problems identified with application functions and features.
- Elicit, analyze and document business system requirements; prepare formal documentation.
- Support the resolution of critical, escalated system incidents.
- Act as the primary software vendor relationship manager.
- Lead smaller initiatives and enhancements, including planning, execution and stakeholder communication.
- Work with stakeholders to develop objectives, set priorities and participate in planning for systems, including developing multi‑year roadmaps and plans.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as an ERP business analyst working within accounting, procurement, billing, receivables and payables subject areas.
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience working with IFS ERP in a business analyst, systems analyst or functional support capacity.
- Experience supporting the entire procure‑to‑pay / purchase‑to‑pay lifecycle.
- Experience supporting ERP integrations involving financial processes and data flows.
- Exposure to application integration and methodologies, business process design, process re‑engineering and continuous improvement.
Professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred or similar (CFA, CA/CAA). Experience with internal control procedures and audit requirements related to data access, security and master data configuration.
