Okta Security Architect

Overview

Lead the design and implementation of secure Okta configurations to strengthen MFA controls and overall identity security posture.

Responsibilities

• Define the target state for Okta hardening
• Establish a security baseline and configuration standards
• Design the MFA segmentation model (external populations / tenants)
• Define KPIs and hardening score model
• Oversee Terraform-based deployments (IaC)
• Support migration to Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
• Provide guidance during ITP (Identity Threat Protection) PoV

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Okta (architecture & security)
• Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with MFA strategies and identity security
• Good understanding of Okta tenants / external user management
• Ability to define architecture, frameworks, and governance

Nice to have

• Experience with Okta ITP
• Experience with OIE migrations
• Exposure to large-scale IAM programs
