Our Client, a Telecoms company, is looking for a seasoned professional with 5 to 10 years of experience as a Solutions Architect Designer.

• Designing innovative solutions based on business requirements, creating functional specifications and modelling requirements using standard application methodology best practices.
• Assessing current software systems to identify areas for improvement and overseeing development teams.
• Participating in, and leading projects that require an in-depth evaluation of complex business and system processes, and adherence to industry standards.
• Resolving technical problems as they arise and continually researching emerging technologies to propose necessary changes.
• Maintaining and updating Enterprise Architecture documentation.
• Building and integrating information systems to meet company needs.
• Assessing the existing systems architecture and collaborating with the Enterprise Architect to recommend enhancements.
• Informing stakeholders about technical issues and assessing the business impact of technical choices.
• Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes and managing expectations regarding milestones and deadlines.
• Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
• Ensuring IT Security standards are incorporated by design, ensuring compliance with ISO
  27001 and supporting improvement initiatives to protect the business from data loss risks.

• Proven experience in engineering and software solution design.
• In-depth understanding of integration techniques and modern coding languages.
• Experience with Telco Site Management software design/development.
• Integration knowledge (SOAP, REST APIs) and middleware such as Biz Talk.
• Data Warehouse design and optimization.
• ITIL/Remedy experience.
• Experience using Enterprise Architecture tools.
• Hons Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Engineering.
• TOGAF certification.
• Knowledge of Cloud architectures.

Ideal candidates should be located within a 60‑minute commute of Reading. You will work from home remotely for 2 to 3 days a week, with the remaining days in the office.

The salary for this role will be in the range £75K – £90K plus benefits.
