The opportunity
This is a fixed term role until the end of December 2026, to support delivery and roll‑out of our new custom‑built audit management system.
As Senior Audit Manager, Professional Practices and Tooling you will play a key role in shaping and delivering Group Audit’s digital, data and AI transformation. You will translate our methodology into business requirements and support the build of our new audit management system.
The Audit Operations team sits at the heart of the internal audit function. We support the global audit community by continuously improving how Group Audit works, how we use data and how we enable insight at scale.
Within Operations, the Digitalization, Data & Strategic Initiatives team plays a key role in supporting Group Audit’s transformation agenda to become fully digital, data‑driven and AI‑enabled. We’re developing and maintaining leading‑edge technology for use across the function, redesigning our processes to harness the full potential of data and GenAI and embedding a completely new way of working across Group Audit.
Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part‑time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full‑time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
What will you be doing?
You operate at the intersection of audit methodology, technology and change. You will partner closely with initiative leads, audit leaders and our stakeholders to drive delivery at pace while ensuring our new system is fit‑for‑purpose, well‑governed and adopted by the audit community.
- Support delivery of our exciting transformation journey:
Contribute to the design and delivery of our IT modernization program, which is part of Group Audit’s change program. From problem framing and design through to implementation, training and support embedding the changes. - Support audit tooling and product development:
Contribute to the evolution of our audit system by helping ensure our tools support the end‑to‑end audit lifecycle and user needs. Partner with stakeholders from across Group Audit to capture business and audit methodology requirements and user feedback to translate into tool design. - Support roll‑out of agentic AI within Group Audit:
Help identify use cases to support users in their day‑to‑day audit work and to help embed methodology requirements within our new audit system. You’ll be involved identifying business and methodology requirements, building prompts and testing outputs. - Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders:
This includes leaders, the GA community and our external stakeholders. You will gather inputs, feedback and build consensus on key tooling decisions. Partner with initiative leads to scope the changes, shape design decisions and drive delivery at pace.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced internal audit professional with the following skills and experience:
- Previous Professional Practices experience:
Either in design and implementation of internal audit methodology or in a Quality Assurance role. - Stakeholder engagement experience:
You have collaborated with a range of stakeholders to build trust and gather inputs to help shape transformation activities and to engage and motivate others to deliver. - Training and communication expertise:
You have experience of building and delivering compelling training and briefings to a range of stakeholder groups. - Outcome focused:
You focus on delivering the right outcomes for the function, using feedback, data and judgment to shape solutions that are practical, adopted and aligned to Group Audit’s priorities. - Proactive delivery:
You take ownership for delivery activities, can manage competing priorities effectively, anticipate issues and drive progress with speed and quality in a dynamic environment.
