Technical Support Engineer – First Line & Helpdesk Support
I'm recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer with strong 1st line capabilities to work for a client located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The role is 4 days a week at home and 1 day in the office, an excellent offer for work‑life balance.
The role will act as the first point of call for all queries and tickets to external customers. Using technical knowledge and troubleshooting, you will either resolve the ticket or escalated it to the next level of support. The company works in an ITIL environment; experience with these standards is advantageous.
Technologies- VMware, ESXi, Networking, Windows, Linux OS
- Strong Helpdesk/Service Desk background in 1st/2nd line support.
- Experience in troubleshooting and escalation.
- Experience working to ITIL standards.
- Knowledge of VMware, networking, Windows & Linux operating systems.
- Base salary around £30,000 plus savings from working 4 days a week at home.
- Work‑life balance with remote work option.
