Salary Range: $75,000 to 90,000

We're looking for an Agile Operations & Jira Specialist to drive how our teams plan, track, and deliver work across multiple projects and products. You'll own our Jira platform, coach teams on Agile practices, and enable cross‑team capacity planning — ensuring our development engine runs smoothly as we scale.
As an Agile Operations & Jira Specialist, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects and software products, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Your role involves coordinating resources, managing timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Own the configuration, governance, and optimization of Larus’ Jira environment (projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, automation rules)
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters using JQL to provide delivery visibility across teams and to leadership
- Design and enforce consistent standards for backlog structure, sprint boards, and issue hierarchies across projects
- Automate recurring workflows using Jira Automation, Script Runner, or similar tools
- Serve as the go‑to Jira expert: train teams, troubleshoot issues, and drive adoption of best practices
- Facilitate resource and capacity planning across multiple teams and projects
- Track and visualize team velocity, workload distribution, and delivery forecasts
- Identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts across teams and elevate proactively
- Support release planning and coordination across the product suite
- Coach teams on Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban), tailoring the approach to maturity
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross‑team syncs where needed
- Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes and team ways of working
- Establish and track delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown) to inform team and leadership decisions
- 3+ years of hands‑on Jira administration experience (Cloud or Data Center)
- 3+ years in an Agile delivery, operations, or coaching role across multiple teams
- Experience with cross‑team capacity planning and resource allocation
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and their practical application
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with strict deadlines and multiple stakeholders
- Must be eligible to obtain Canadian Government security clearance (typically requires Canadian citizenship or permanent residency)
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Familiarity with SAFe, particularly PI Planning and cross‑team coordination
- Experience with other scaling approaches (LeSS, Nexus, Disciplined Agile)
- Atlassian certifications (ACP‑120 Jira Administrator, or similar)
- Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI‑ACP, SAFe Agilist, or SAFe RTE)
- Experience with Script Runner, Jira Automation, or Atlassian API integrations
- Proficiency with VBA in Excel for advanced reporting
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Knowledge of data privacy and security considerations in software projects
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate in French is a plus
