About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Messaging Operations Specialist to provide L2 support for Microsoft 365 messaging services, including Exchange Online, Exchange hybrid environments, and Outlook services. This role focuses on maintaining secure, stable, and efficient messaging operations, resolving complex incidents, and driving continuous service improvements in a large-scale enterprise environment.
What You'll Do
Deliver L2 operations for Microsoft 365 Messaging services, ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs, OLAs, and operational KPIs
Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues, performing advanced troubleshooting and coordinating with higher-level support where required
Administer Microsoft 365 tenant services including mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, permissions, and policies
Manage and troubleshoot end-to-end mail flow, including SMTP, connectors, routing, transport rules, and message tracing
Support modernisation of legacy systems by enabling secure authentication methods and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Operate and support hybrid Exchange environments, including migrations and coexistence scenarios
Provide support for Outlook and web-based client issues, including configuration, connectivity, and scheduling challenges
Monitor service health, analyse logs and reports, and drive proactive improvements
Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts to automate operational tasks and improve efficiency
Create and update documentation, knowledge articles, and training materials, enabling L1 teams through knowledge sharing
Support maintenance activities including patching, configuration updates, validation, and monitoring
Who You Are
Experienced in Microsoft 365 Messaging operations, including Exchange Online and hybrid environments
Skilled in troubleshooting mail flow, client connectivity, and mailbox administration
Proficient in Power Shell scripting for automation and administrative tasks
Familiar with ITIL-based service management processes including incident, problem, and change management
Knowledgeable in email security practices such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and compliance frameworks
Equipped with a strong analytical approach and ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure
Experienced in large, distributed enterprise environments supporting mission-critical services
Effective communicator, able to articulate technical concepts clearly to different audiences
Demonstrates ownership, collaboration, and a solution-focused mindset
