Expected Salary Range
: $107347 - $142520 Annually
Target Variable Performance Pay
: 8%
The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Portfolio Management, the IT Technical Consultant provides technical and analytical support, performs troubleshooting functions, implements processes, systems or projects that contribute to the efficient and effective technical delivery in the operational areas of Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities- Analyzes business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the IT Systems
- Installs, configures, maintains, enhances Information Technology systems software and hardware in accordance with corporate and security standards, for defined area of expertise
- Supports and responds to service outages and incidents
- Supports Information Technology System testing, deployment and upgrade activities
- Creates and maintains documentation to support IT Systems and Processes
- Identifies problems and opportunities for improvement of IT Services, systems or processes
- Troubleshoots and maintains IT systems to improve reliability, capacity, and performance
- Performs administrative routines associated with the position
- Experienced in executing projects with both Waterfall and Agile methodology
- Undergraduate degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology
- Expertise in designing, developing, and architecting solutions for Oracle Customer Care and Billing, Oracle Utilities Framework preferred
- Expertise in use of Oracle Configuration Tools, Groovy, COBOL preferred
- Oracle Certified Associate preferred
- Understanding of MDM/R Sync processes
- Proficient with SQL, Java, Shell Scripting, Batch Scripts.
- Proficient with Windows / Linux / AIX
- Ability to work in team environment

- Demonstrates safety awareness
- Electrical utility experience an asset

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
