Program Overview

Our consumer business client is seeking a Senior Project Manager (10+ years) to lead Data Protection and Information Governance Program delivery across M and Microsoft Purview environments. The role is a remote contract until end of year with possibility of extension.

Remote Contract until end of year – possibility of extension.

• 8+ years of project management experience delivering enterprise data protection, information governance, records management, or compliance initiatives.
• Experience leading Microsoft Purview implementations including Records Management, Retention Policies, Information Protection, eDiscovery, or Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Robust knowledge of Microsoft governance including SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and Exchange Online.
• Experience managing complex enterprise programs involving IT, Legal, Cyber Security, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Experience with project governance, RAID management, financial tracking, executive reporting, and KPI development.
• Nice to have:
  Experience with enterprise records management or information management programs.
• Nice to have:
  Experience integrating information governance controls with enterprise platforms such as Plainsware or other line-of-business applications.
• Nice to have: PMP certification or equivalent project management designation.
• Nice to have:
  Experience delivering organizational change management, communications, and user adoption initiatives.
• Nice to have:
  Knowledge of regulatory compliance, legal hold, audit readiness, and privacy requirements.

• Lead delivery of Data Protection Program initiatives across Microsoft environments.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Drive implementation of Microsoft Purview capabilities including retention policies, records management, sensitivity labels, disposition, and information protection controls.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, Legal, Cyber Security, Modern Workplace, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Support enterprise information governance, records management, and data lifecycle management initiatives.
• Establish and maintain program KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and compliance metrics.
• Lead change management, communications, and user adoption activities supporting new governance processes and tools.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data retention, information protection, access controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on information management, governance, automation, and standardization.
