IT Security Engineer

Position: IT Security Engineer Hybrid Role
Join our client as a Senior IT Security Engineer to fortify Microsoft systems. This hybrid position focuses on enhancing security infrastructure and overseeing compliance practices.

This role offers a 2-year term contract with long-term potential, available in Ottawa or fully remote for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone. As a Senior IT Security Engineer, you will work with tools like Purview and Sentinel, ensuring the security and compliance of Azure environments. Your expertise will be critical in designing solutions and advocating for robust security practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Augment tooling, addressing security gaps and configuration needs

• Utilize Microsoft tech stack including Purview and Sentinel

• Enhance security with awareness programs and policies

• Recommend security measures and improve infrastructure continuously

Requirements:

• Eligible for Reliability Level security clearance

• Experience with MS Security tools:
Purview, Sentinel

• Knowledge of Azure security compliance and governance

• Cyber Security certifications (eg: CISSP) are a plus
