Join us as a Data & Information Officer within the Adults’ Services Systems and Information Team (ASSIT). We are seeking a highly motivated and hard-working individual to join our team of professionals helping to drive continual business improvement. As a team we sustain and maintain all systems by advising, supporting and challenging to ensure good business practice. We continually look to optimise Adults’ Services business making a positive difference through consultation and engagement with our range of diverse stakeholders.
Alongside this, the team plays an increasingly important role in using complex data and emerging digital approaches that supports service improvement and data quality, as well as ensuring adherence to retention and deletion policies is upheld.
The team plays a pivotal part and acts in an advisory and support capacity across the organisation to develop and improve the quality and efficiency of the service. Working collaboratively across systems, data and operational teams, we bring together a range of skills to ensure services are supported by accurate data, reliable systems and meaningful insight. Whilst meeting the County Council’s statutory duties as outlined in the Care Act 2014 and other legislation, for example, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Accessible Information Standard and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Salary: £32,597 to £35,412 per annum
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Location: County Hall, Chichester with Flexible and Hybrid Working *
* For this role, hybrid working currently means the team work together in the office at County Hall Chichester 1 day a week, in person monthly team meetings, and remote working for the rest of the week. Teamwork is very important to us and getting together as a team regularly enables us to update on work related projects, share new ideas and to support each other as required.
To succeed in this role it’s really important that you are able to collate and analyse data. The customer data you will be working with is on the Mosaic social care recording system so any experience on using this would be highly beneficial. A big responsibility in the role is the day to day maintenance of data management system, data quality and retention and deletion of data in line with GDPR regulations.
In addition to this, you will support the use of complex data and large datasets to identify trends, highlight risks and opportunities, and contribute to service improvements. This includes supporting the team’s growing use of digital tools and emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, in a responsible and practical way.
The successful applicant will be required to understand how adult social care processes work, where data is collected and what it is used for. You will assist in the design of appropriate data monitoring tools and reports to identify where data quality errors are occurring and drive data quality and process improvements.
