We are looking for a Category Buyer IT who can translate business and technology ambitions into sourcing strategies, supplier partnerships and measurable value creation. Someone who understands both the commercial and strategic side of IT procurement and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders to shape the future technology landscape of our organisation.

As Category Buyer IT, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies across a broad IT portfolio covering software, cloud solutions, infrastructure, telecommunications and IT services. You will act as a strategic business partner to the IT organisation and support key transformation programmes by ensuring that sourcing decisions contribute to business performance, innovation, security and long-term value creation. Working closely with IT leadership, architecture, security, finance and external suppliers, you will help shape Renewi's future technology ecosystem.

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with Renewi's digital and business priorities.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations across multiple IT domains.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships that support innovation, resilience and business performance.
• Drive value creation through cost optimisation, vendor consolidation and risk management.
• Support major transformation programmes, system implementations and digital initiatives.
• Challenge stakeholders on sourcing approaches, supplier selection and commercial opportunities.
• Monitor technology and supplier markets to identify trends, innovations and opportunities.
• Strengthen contract management, supplier governance and performance management frameworks.
• Contribute to the continuous development and professionalisation of the Procurement function.

• Several years of experience within IT Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management.
• Experience managing categories such as Software, SaaS, Cloud, Infrastructure, Telecom or IT Services.
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills.
• Experience working closely with IT leadership and technology stakeholders.
• Understanding of digital transformation, vendor ecosystems and technology sourcing models.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and influence decision-making.
• Fluent in English;
  Dutch is an advantage.

Procurement at Renewi is responsible for approximately €600 million OPEX and €150 million CAPEX spend across Belgium and the Netherlands.
