OverviewSpecialistssupportwithand deliver high end consultancy services into enterprise organisations,especially in the key areas of software licensing,compliance and optimisation reporting,Cloud migration,Hardware Asset Management (HAM),IT Asset Management (ITAM) policy and process,and audit support.
The Licensing Specialist is a key member of our managed service and consultancy delivery teams. As well as engaging directly withclientsto support their Software Asset Management function, Specialists are also expected to pro-actively pursue software publisher specialisms and support with the development ofmore junior members of theteam.
Therolerequires an eye for detail,an analyticalmindsetandan awareness of the wider implications of effective ITAM for our clients over and above software licence compliance.
Specialists lead on the delivery of Effective Licence Positions(ELP’s) to clients and answering client queries. Theyregularlysupport with delivering
Optimised Licence Positions (OLPs) andlead on the delivery ofcertain elements of managed services and professional services engagements.
The key responsibilities of the Licensing Specialist include:
Delivery- Analysing large and / orcomplexdata and datasets.
- Receiving, storing,organising and processingcomplexsoftware licence purchasedatato deliver entitlement positions.
- ProducingaccurateELPs from a variety of data sources for various software publishers.
- Supporting with the delivery of Optimised Licence Positions (OLPs).
- Creating reporting and providing updates to clients on compliance positions,risksand opportunities.
- Other data management tasks, including data recognition and normalisation.
- Assisting clients with software renewals, ad-hoc licensing queries and other areas of IT Asset Management.
- Maintaining service documentation such as risk logs, opportunities trackers and service RAID logs.
- Translating delivery activity intoameasurable risk and optimisation narrative,anddeliveringthis narrative to clients and internally in Synyega.
- Working with a variety of in-house and third-party tools.
- Contributing to the development and on-going improvement of data related processes.
- Supporting with the delivery of more complex pieces of consultancy such a Target Operating Model (TOM) creation and implementation and Cloud Migrations.
- Operating as part of the Synyegateam, contributing to client engagement planning and delivery.
- Supporting in the creation of client training to support in embedding the ITAM practice.
- Acting as a trusted partner to clients, buildingtrustand strengthening relationships withallstakeholders.
- Supporting sales activities in new and existing customer accounts, for example by providingpublisherubject matter expertise.
- Supporting the development ofmorejunior members of the Synyegateam.
- Contributing to the development and on-going improvement ofbusinessprocesses.
- Data handling and analysis experience gained from an IT Asset Management environment.
- Softwarepublisherspecific data analysis (e.g. Microsoft,Adobe, VMware etc.).
- Experience of specific IT Asset Management discovery tools (e.g. Flexera, Snow, USU, Service Now, RV Tools, SCCM).
- Musthave the right to work in the UK, be a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years and be able toattainUK Government SC Clearance.
- Experience delivering compliance positions using dedicated SAM tools such as Flexera, SNOW, Service Now SAM Pro, USU Licence Manageror Xensam.
- Experience delivering software licence compliance positions in / for a complex medium to large organisation.
- Softwarepublisherspecific data analysis for complex publishers(e.g. Oracle, SAP,IBM, etc.).
- Some exposure to software licensing across IT Infrastructure/ Data Centre or cloud computing environments.
- Cloud computing data handling and analysis.
- Experience creating and delivering reports to service owners.
- Experience using Jira / Confluence andClick
Up.
Degree (BSc/BA or equivalent) or relevant IT experience.
You may have gained relevant experience from a variety of backgrounds and for the right person we will provide training and support to help you become successful in this role.
Languages- English: excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
- EU languages desirable (but not essential) such as:
German, Italian, French, Spanish.
