About Us

SEDSConnective is a pioneering, volunteer-led charity that supports individuals with both symptomatic hypermobility (such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders) and neurodivergent conditions (including Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s Syndrome, Dyslexia plus more).

Founded in 2018 by Jane Green MBE, who was driven by her own lived experiences, SEDSConnective began as a grassroots effort in Sussex, UK. Since then, we have grown into a global community, offering support, advocacy, and education to thousands of members worldwide.

Our mission is to

  • Raise awareness of the link between hypermobility and neurodivergence.
  • Improve outcomes for those affected by these body brain connections.
  • Provide support for individuals, families, carers, and professionals, employers, educators, health professionals and policy makers.

We are user led and are powered entirely by our passionate team of volunteers.

What are we looking for?
  • Experience with Word Press is essential.
  • Confident with PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, including customising Word Press themes and functionality.
  • Experience troubleshooting and testing responsive websites.
  • A passion for our vision is always a bonus.
Personal qualities

What We Offer
  • A chance to make a meaningful difference in a growing, inclusive charity.
  • Flexible, fully remote volunteering.
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Opportunities for personal development and skill-building.
  • Reasonable expenses may be reimbursed where possible - there should not be any.
Remote What You’ll Do

Join our small, friendly volunteer team to help bring our newly redesigned website over the finish line. You’ll work in Word Press to implement the almost-complete new design, tidy layouts and formatting across pages, check links, images and our members’ area, ensure everything works well on mobile devices and help test the site before launch collaboratively with our team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is confident using Word Press themes and page builders, has a good eye for design, layout and accessibility, and can spare some time over the next two weeks. You should be able to start straight away. The role is fully remote with flexible hours.

Why volunteer with us?

Help make a real difference to thousands of people living with hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS), HSD and neurodivergence. Your skills will help improve access to trusted information, support and resources for a growing UK and international community. You’ll be joining an award-winning charity at an exciting time, working with a friendly team as we prepare to launch our new website and continue expanding our impact and publish with some exciting news in a very short term project but the possibility to continue with adjustments and content.

This is a great opportunity to use your skills for a meaningful cause and add valuable experience to you portfolio.
