About the job your considering

As an Cloud Dev Ops Engineer in our Cloud & Custom Applications practice, you will work on mission-critical systems that require high availability, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for building, automating, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

Design, build, and manage AWS environments with a focus on automation, scalability, and security.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment for mission-critical applications.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing observability best practices.
Work in an Agile environment, engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver iterative improvements.

Your skills and experience

Essential:
Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS in secure environments.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Pulumi.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Power Shell for automation.
Understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups.

Experience with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS Cloud Watch.
Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and best practices for securing cloud workloads.
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize cloud deployments.
