Strategic Communications Officer

Build population-scale data pipelines and applied AI infrastructure across government projects at DPIC India. This technical internship works with DPIC’s data science team, government departments, and University of Chicago researchers to transform administrative data into policy insights. Strong Python and SQL skills, cloud experience, and the ability to engage senior government stakeholders are essential.

• Design and implement data pipelines that handle large government datasets.
• Develop and maintain AI infrastructure to support data science initiatives.
• Collaborate with DPIC’s data science team, government departments, and University of Chicago researchers to turn administrative data into actionable policy insights.
• Lead DPIC's institutional communications strategy, translating complex data science and AI research into compelling narratives for policymakers, funders, and the public; includes grant writing, digital communications, and external engagement.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage senior government stakeholders.
