Location: Greater London

Are you a technically strong BI Developer who can design and build scalable data solutions that enable high-quality insight and reporting across the organisation? Join us at the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and help drive our mission to protect the public by ensuring safe and effective pharmacy practice.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to design, build and optimise enterprise BI solutions, including Power BI dashboards, reports, data models and semantic layers. You’ll play a key role in developing our BI environment, working with IT, Data & Research and business teams to improve data quality, structure and reporting capability.

You’ll develop insight and reporting relating to areas such as pharmacy registration, fitness to practise activity, inspections and assurance programmes, organisational performance, and trends across the pharmacy profession.

Your work will support colleagues and senior leaders to better understand performance, risks and trends, contributing to informed decision-making and improved outcomes across the pharmacy sector. This is a hands‑on technical role with opportunities to influence reporting and data solutions, mentor colleagues and help shape the future of business intelligence at GPhC.

The successful applicant will:
  • Be confident developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports and data models using DAX and SQL, while supporting existing Tableau reporting and helping to transition reporting to Power BI where appropriate.
  • Take an active role in supporting and improving the organisation’s Power BI environment, including governance and best practice. Work closely with data architecture and data engineering colleagues to improve underlying data structures and data quality.
  • Lead or contribute to BI initiatives, taking ownership of technical delivery and supporting less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
  • Stay current with emerging BI tools, trends, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Where required, provide guidance or line management to colleagues and deputise for the Business Intelligence Manager.
  • unwavering commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Benefits when joining our team

In return for their commitment and enthusiasm, employees can expect a rewarding and challenging work environment,
good work‑life balance and workload plus an excellent benefits package that includes:

  • 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays) with the option to buy an additional 5 days.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Career breaks and sabbaticals.
  • Life assurance, season ticket loan, bike loan and many more.
