SOC Analyst

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

• Strong cyber security awareness and foundational training
• Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 SOC environment
• Understanding of security monitoring, alert handling, and incident lifecycle
• Experience in a Security Operations Centre
• Hands‑on exposure to SIEM/XDR platforms
• Triage, investigation, and incident response experience
• Familiarity with public sector or secure environments
• BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard)
• Home Office SC (Security Check), or eligibility to obtain

• Provide continuous protective monitoring across secure client environments
• Investigate, triage, and escalate security alerts
• Operate multiple SIEM/XDR platforms including IBM QRadar, Log Rhythm, Palo Alto XSIAM/XDR, Microsoft Sentinel and Defender, and Google Sec Ops
• Support incident response activities and follow established SOC runbooks
• Maintain situational awareness and contribute to threat detection improvements
• Work collaboratively within a 24/7 shift team

We are looking for skilled and motivated SOC Analysts to join our high-performing 24/7 Security Operations Centre supporting UK Public Sector clients. You will be part of a 16-person team delivering protective monitoring, threat detection, and incident response across complex and secure environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading SIEM and XDR technologies while contributing directly to national-level cyber defence.

The role is based on-site in Winchester, SO21 2JN
