Vice President, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance – Amsterdam
We are recruiting for this senior role within the IT Risk & Governance Division of MUFG Bank Europe (MBE) in Amsterdam. The position reports to the Head of IT Security within the MBE Systems Division and supports senior management in all IT governance, risk and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the senior contact for external and internal auditors, coordinating audit remediation and reporting.
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of the IT Policy House, ensuring policies remain current.
- Own oversight and closure of reporting requests from HQ and EMEA, mitigating risks without impacting business operations.
- Monitor remediation of IT risks and the residual risk position across the organization.
- Maintain the golden source for all regulatory and compliance topics and develop processes for accurate, timely reporting.
- Identify and document IT compliance deviations, tracking countermeasures to remediate deficiencies and gaps.
- Support the IT agenda by ensuring strategic goals are met with appropriate process and quality.
- Collaborate closely with Audit functions, Operational Risk Management, other IT functions, MBE branches, EMEA & HQ, and the PMO, Corporate Planning, and business functions.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance within banking, financial services, or fintech.
- Proven expertise in Information Governance, Risk and Compliance using frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL, with hands‑on reporting experience.
- Experience managing information security risks from third‑party suppliers and delivering governance in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to influence senior decision‑makers.
- Adept at presenting complex data and arguments in an accessible manner.
- Commitment to excellence and quality, identifying leading practices.
