As a Service Now Developer – IT Service Management
, you will be part of the ITSM Process Foundation team and play an important role in translating process improvements into technical solutions on the Service Now platform.
Working closely with the ITSM Product Owner, Process Owners and the Service Now Foundation team
, you will help design, develop and maintain IT Service Management capabilities that support NN's global IT organisation. Your primary focus will be on ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Configuration Management.
This role combines technical development with close collaboration with process experts, allowing you to contribute directly to the evolution of NN's IT Service Management platform.
What you are going to doAs a Service Now Developer, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of ITSM processes by designing, configuring and developing solutions on the Service Now platform.
You will work closely with the ITSM Product Owner, Process Owners and Business Process Managers to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions while following Service Now best practices and NN development standards.
You will collaborate closely with the Service Now Foundation team to ensure all solutions align with NN's architecture, development standards, security principles and deployment practices.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Develop and enhance Service Now functionality supporting Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Configuration Management.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and Service Now configurations.
- Support the implementation of ITSM process improvements by translating approved process designs into scalable and maintainable Service Now solutions.
- Configure workflows, Flow Designer, Notifications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts and other platform capabilities.
- Build and maintain integrations using standard Service Now integration capabilities where required.
- Participate in solution design, development, testing and deployment activities for new functionality and process improvements.
- Support testing activities, defect resolution and implementation of enhancements across ITSM processes.
- Contribute to technical documentation and ensure developments follow Service Now best practices and NN development standards.
- Work closely with the ITSM Product Owner, Process Owners and Business Process Managers to continuously improve ITSM processes through technical enhancements.

Who you are- 2–5 years of experience developing on the Service Now platform.
- Experience with Service Now ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request or Configuration Management.
- Experience configuring Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer and Notifications.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and Service Now scripting.
- Familiarity with Integration Hub, REST APIs and standard integration patterns is considered an advantage.
- Understanding of Service Now application lifecycle management, update sets and source control concepts.
