Director, Enterprise Data & Governance

We’re looking for a Director to join our Data team in Canada and serve as the chief architect of our corporate data strategy, bridging technical infrastructure and executive business vision.

  • Global Pod Leadership & Accountability:
    Lead a global team of Data Analysts inside agile Pods, owning performance and results.
  • Strategic Partnership:
    Partner with C‑suite and VP‑level stakeholders to develop and execute data strategy.
  • Roadmap Ownership:
    Oversee data roadmaps for Pods and broader Data Office roadmap.
• Enterprise Data Architecture & Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Architecture Strategy:
    Maintain product and system understanding, assure clean logical isolation and robust data lineage.
  • MDM Design:
    Design, champion and execute a comprehensive MDM strategy to establish a trusted Single Source of Truth.
  • Exploratory Modelling:
    Develop exploratory data models across diverse sources to support business reporting.
  • Cross‑Functional
    
    Collaboration:
    
    Work with Data Solutions team to co‑develop pod‑specific models into scalable production assets.
• Data Governance, Compliance & Quality Management
  • Framework Establishment:
    Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strict data governance policies, standards and procedures.
  • Data Integrity Enforcement:
    Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, document findings and drive improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure global compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Advanced Analytics & AI‑Driven Consumption
  • Analytics Standards:
    Lead development and adoption of highest analytics standards inside the Data Office.
  • Advanced Data Mining:
    Lead analysis and mining of large data sets using descriptive, predictive and inferential methods.
  • Next‑Gen Consumption:
    Support measurement plans that move beyond static dashboards into AI‑driven data surfacing.
  • Cross‑Functional Synergy:
    Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to create user‑friendly solutions.

• 15+ years experience in data operations, MDM or data architecture roles; 7+ years in senior leadership.
• Strong technical literacy with cloud data stacks, especially GCP Big Query and Looker, SQL and Git Hub; familiarity with Dataform is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with Enterprise ERPs, planning tools (e.g., Net Suite, Oracle), OMS, CRM (Salesforce/Hub Spot) and billing/subscription platforms.
• Business acumen with SaaS model knowledge and key metrics (MRR, LTV, CAC, NRR).
• Excellent communication in English, strong interpersonal skills; professional fluency in French appreciated.
