CIS & Business Systems Analyst
Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG), a subsidiary of Tri Summit Utilities Inc., is a natural gas transmission and distribution utility. Operating in northern British Columbia with its Corporate office in Vancouver and main operating offices in Terrace and Fort St. John, British Columbia.
This is a newly created position at the heart of PNG’s operations. We are a small, rate-regulated natural gas distribution utility and we rely on SAP CIS and our meter system. This role sits within IT and is the primary bridge between our billing and meter data systems and the business teams who depend on them every day. This is not a support desk role.
It requires genuine curiosity, independent problem-solving, technical skills and collaboration. You will be PNG’s subject matter expert on our billing and meter systems.
The CIS & Business Systems Analyst will report to the Vice President, Finance.
Annual Salary range: $90,0000 - $110,000
What You Will Do:
Serve as the primary internal owner of SAP CIS and supporting business systemsLead system enhancements, including requirements definition, testing, and implementationMaintain accurate system configuration, documentation, and change trackingEnsure alignment between system configuration, tariff structures, and operational requirementsInvestigate and resolve billing and data discrepancies across systemsCollaborate with the Billing Manager and Customer Care team to understand, document, and improve billing workflows — both within SAP and through the manual processes that support large commercial accountsDevelop training materials and provide user support for billing systemsProduce operational reporting and support data-driven initiativesAct as PNG’s technical advocate clearly articulating PNG’s requirements, contributing to prioritizations, and ensuring PNG’s operational needs are understood and reflected in decisions.Ensure the integrity of meter data from collection through to billing, confirming accurate transmission into SAP CIS and validating any system changes or upgrades before go-live.Performance Metrics and Key Competencies of the Role:

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting or owning complex operational or billing systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills across systems, data, and processesProven experience ensuring the accuracy and integrity of operational data flowing through interconnected systems, including end-to-end validation of system changes and upgrades prior to production deployment.Experience working with third-party vendors or system providersAbility to evaluate solution options — weighing trade-offs across build, configure, and tool-based approaches — and make defensible recommendations that account for time, resources, maintainability, and riskDemonstrated ability to orient quickly in a new technical environment, self-direct workload, and drive issues through to resolution without close supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skillsAssets:

The position will be based out of PNG’s Corporate office in Vancouver, BC and may require limited travel to PNG’s Terrace, BC office.
