This strategic advisory role focuses on data protection practices, addressing risks related to CPPA and the CLOUD Act. You will guide senior leadership and collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure compliance. Your expertise in PIPEDA, GDPR, and CCPA will be critical as you develop effective strategies for data sovereignty and cloud vendor risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess current data protection posture with senior leadership

• Advise on international data policies and legal exposure

• Recommend strategies for data residency and cloud security

• Guide compliance with PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws

• Evaluate third-party vendor contracts for privacy risks

Requirements:

• 8+ years in data privacy or compliance advisory roles

• Proficient in PIPEDA and international frameworks

• Understanding of the U.S. CLOUD Act implications

• Ability to translate legal risks into actionable guidance

• Experience in financial services privacy practices
