Lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer, Home Based

Lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer, Financial Service environment, Fully Home Based, c £ 90000 - 100000  bonus  benefits. Financial Service client is looking for a stand alone lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with excellent knowledge of Terrafrom and a previous background in Infrastructure. This is a Lead hands-on Cloud engineering role where you will be responsible for the design, build, automation and continuous improvement of Azure cloud platform services in a regulated FSA environment.

To be considered you must have worked in a similar Lead Azure cloud role in a regulated environment (ideally FSA regulated) and must have strong Terrafrom skills. The role combines practical Azure engineering delivery with technical leadership, architectural design input, engineering mentoring and platform enablement. The successful candidate will lead by example, working directly on Azure platform services, Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, cloud networking, security controls, monitoring, resilience and operational supportability.

You will be comfortable supporting Azure releases (Cosmos, container apps, etc) , working on a variety of greenfield and BAU projects, supporting engineers, working at the architecture level and more. Experience should include architecting Azure landing zones and Terraform based IaC frameworks, implementing multi-stage CI/CD pipelines and large scale platform delivery in regulated environment. Key Accountabilities

Security Governance and Regulatory control Cloud networking, connectivity and integration. Operational Resilience, Monitoring and Cost Optimisation. Mentoring, Standards and Engineering Culture Key Skills Required
- Must have worked at a Lead level. Expert level hands-on and architectural Azure Cloud skills in a large regulated environment. Expert level skills in Terraform Expert level knowledge of Dev Ops (building and maintaining pipelines) Expert level knowledge of IAC and platform automation Used to working at a senior level with multiple stakeholders Proven experience leading cloud (Azure) engineering delivery.
