Glasgow or Alderley Park (Wilmslow). Working style:
Hybrid 50% home/office.
As a Data Visualisation Engineer you will take a lead role in creating reports, dashboards and data visualisations to help answer key business questions, solve business problems, and support decision making at all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the delivery of analytics and data visualisation initiatives as part of a wider team
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, data visualisations and other analytics solutions
- Gather and document data requirements, and support the creation of data assets required for analysis and reporting
- Analyse data and communicate findings and insights to stakeholders to support informed decision‑making
- Apply established data visualisation standards, best practices and governance requirements in all deliverables
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve reporting, dashboards and analytical outputs
- Support testing, validation and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions
- Share knowledge and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team and wider business
- In‑depth understanding of data visualisation techniques and tools, such as Power BI
- A broad understanding of analytics tools including SQL
- Experience of applying data visualisation techniques to solve real‑world business problems
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts and results to people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences
- A proven track record in leading cross‑functional projects to a successful conclusion
- Experience of mentoring and coaching more junior team members
- The ability to work collaboratively and build good working relationships
