Data Warehouse / Data Modernisation Architect x2 – UK – Remote – Inside IR35

Must have financial services regulation risk background.

We are seeking an experienced data modernisation architect to support Legacy Data Exit programme.

• Lead complex legacy data warehouse migration and decommissioning initiatives.
• Analyse legacy data usage, dependencies, and consumption patterns across business and technology functions.
• Define and execute migration strategies, including data validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
• Manage parallel runs, live proving, and production readiness activities to ensure a seamless transition.
• Collaborate with business, data, architecture, operations, and risk stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes.
• Provide strong client‑facing leadership, communicating effectively with senior executives and programme sponsors.
• Facilitate decision‑making across diverse stakeholder groups and manage competing priorities.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure robust migration execution and governance.
• Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms is required;
  Databricks experience is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering complex enterprise‑scale data transformation programmes in regulated environments.

• Experience migrating from legacy environments to modern data environments.
• Proficient in high‑level and low‑level design (HLD/LLD).
• Strong code‑review capabilities.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Financial Services Industry background is essential.
• Financial services risk/regulation change background is essential.
