Technical Project Manager - Events & AV Production

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join a leading live events and production organization that delivers high-end technical solutions for major brands and venues.

The role manages technical projects from initial client brief through to onsite delivery, including team leadership, technical planning, budgeting and event execution. The position offers hybrid working after six months (two days remote, three days office-based) with a salary of £50,000‑£60,000 plus benefits.

• Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects, from understanding client requirements through to successful delivery.
• Review project briefs, identify technical requirements and provide practical solutions.
• Work closely with internal teams to develop proposals, technical plans and project responses.
• Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and understanding their objectives.
• Produce accurate quotations, equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Manage project budgets, logistics and resources to ensure efficient delivery.
• Lead and coordinate technical teams across multiple projects.
• Oversee onsite delivery, ensuring lighting, audio and video systems are implemented effectively.
• Support health and safety requirements through appropriate technical documentation and planning.

• Previously worked as a technical project manager, production manager or similar live event technical role.
• Experience in a technical delivery role, with specialist expertise in at least one core discipline such as lighting, audio or video.
• Broad understanding of other technical areas within live events.
• Experience with system design, technical planning and project implementation.
• Ability to produce technical drawings, specifications and relevant documentation.
• Experience managing budgets, preparing quotations and supporting commercial project decisions.
• Competent using AutoCAD and rental management software.
