We have an exciting opportunity to join Capgemini as a Network Engineer, supporting the day-to-day management, maintenance and operational stability of a dedicated proxy server estate. The role will provide hands‑on support across proxy infrastructure, server maintenance, incident management, change implementation, patch management, web access administration, troubleshooting, operational support and stakeholder coordination.

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

As an integral part of the operational support team, you'll support the day‑to‑day management and maintenance of proxy servers, helping ensure a stable, secure and well‑managed service. As part of the team, you'll be empowered to:

• Support the configuration, administration and operational maintenance of the proxy server estate.
• Manage and resolve approximately incidents, undertaking effective troubleshooting and fault resolution.
• Implement configuration changes, standard changes and operational service requests in line with agreed change processes.
• Complete monthly patching activity, ensuring operational readiness and alignment with maintenance schedules.
• Process web access requests and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requests are progressed accurately and efficiently.

• Experience supporting enterprise web proxy server infrastructure within a network environment, including day‑to‑day administration, operational maintenance and service stability.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Clearswift Web Gateways, including configuration, administration, troubleshooting and operational support.
• Strong Red Hat Linux skills, with the ability to support server maintenance, monthly patching, operational readiness checks and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage and resolve network and infrastructure incidents, carrying out effective fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and service restoration.
• Experience implementing configuration changes, standard changes and operational service requests through controlled change processes.
• Knowledge of web access administration, including processing access requests, applying policy changes and coordinating with stakeholders to progress requests accurately.
