We are looking for an experienced and motivated Network Engineer to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting customer network infrastructure across both remote and on-site environments.

This is a hybrid position involving remote working, office-based tasks, and occasional customer site visits.

• Configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and firewall issues.
• Install and commission new network equipment at customer sites.
• Monitor network performance and investigate faults and outages.
• Configure VLANs, trunking, LACP, STP, routing, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and access-control policies.
• Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and cloud-connected environments.
• Produce network diagrams, technical documentation, and customer reports.
• Work with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and third-party contractors.
• Follow change-control, security, health and safety, and documentation procedures.
• Participate in project work, upgrades, migrations, and network improvement activities.

• Previous professional experience in a Network Engineer or similar infrastructure role.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting managed switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Knowledge of VPNs, network security, access-control rules, and NAT.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.

• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Juniper, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, or Hyper-V.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and SNMP.
• Understanding of firewalls, cybersecurity principles, and cloud networking.
• Cisco, Fortinet, CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent professional certifications.
• Previous experience working for an MSP, IT service provider, or systems integrator.
