Reporting to the Manager of Architecture & Risk, the Solutions Designer develops detailed technical blueprints and creates innovative technology solutions for departments City-wide that align with the Department
¿ s business goals and objectives. This role entails collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, translating requirements into designs and technical implementation specifications for a given solution. The Solution Designer ensures all solutions are scalable, robust, secure, and meet the divisional customer
¿ s expectations, thereby supporting the City's strategic objectives.

The Solutions Designer provides senior level information technology expertise and direction for the development and build of IT systems, including complex enterprise systems, and supports innovation and continuous improvement of city systems and processes through the implementation and use of well-designed systems and technologies.

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation for divisional innovation & technology services and solutions and ensuring IT solutions align with business strategy and objectives.
• Perform analysis of design considerations, options, opportunities and risks, and propose recommendations for a given design.
• Support strategic and financial planning for the assigned IT division on technology services.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to IT divisions.
• Support Cybersecurity.
