Job Description:

HYBRID/REMOTE This co‑op opportunity is voluntarily in person, remote or hybrid. If you decide remote or hybrid, you will be required to work within the province. Remote work outside of the province will not be a possibility.

POSITIONS: 1 LENGTH OF TERM: 4 months (Fall
2026) Our student and new graduate programs offer a chance to explore Sun Life from the inside. You'll make a difference while building the skills and experience that help you grow in a meaningful and rewarding way. This role will support Sun Life's AI Enablement & Acceleration team, helping drive the adoption and scaling of artificial intelligence across the organization. Working at the intersection of strategy, technology, innovation, and business transformation, you'll help coordinate priority initiatives, develop executive reporting, measure outcomes, and support efforts that enable teams to realize value from AI.

This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting one of the organization's fastest‑growing strategic priorities while working alongside leaders across technology, innovation, data, and business teams.

The Junior Strategy Analyst’s main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Strategy & Planning – Support strategic initiatives, planning activities, workshops, and leadership discussions related to AI and technology transformation.
• Executive Reporting – Help develop presentations, briefing materials, dashboards, and reports for senior leaders.
• Performance Measurement – Assist in collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting on adoption, usage, and business outcome metrics.
• Communications – Support the expansion of the presence of IT across the organization through executive‑level communications, reporting and business development.
• Program Coordination – Support cross‑functional initiatives by helping manage timelines, dependencies, stakeholder updates, and key deliverables.
• Market Intelligence & Insights – Monitor industry trends, competitor advancements, and the evolving AI landscape to provide insights that support strategic planning and decision‑making.

• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise insights.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, innovation, and business transformation.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in using AI tools and copilots to improve productivity, research, analysis, and business outcomes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• A graduation date of December
  2026 or later.

Not necessary, but considered an asset:

• Experience with executive/senior management communications, e.g., workshops, reporting to executives, or communications to a broad external audience.
• Experience or demonstrated familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.
• Interest or experience in strategy consulting, marketing, UX/UI design, graphic design an asset.
• Interest or experience in digital technology an asset – Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Digital.
• Interest or experience in financial services and/or finance background an asset.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence (building pages).

• Exposure to enterprise AI strategy and innovation initiatives.
