Salary:
Up to £62,428.08 (£50,281.08 basic salary plus a non-contractual/non pensionable Skills for the Information Age supplement of up to £12,147.00 amount awarded either 0%.50% or 100% based on validation of self-assessment)

Location:

To be based at one of our main hubs (London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds or Glasgow) London Allowance of £4,613.61 payable to London based candidates only.

Type of Working Arrangement:
Blended approach of home and office-working is available.

Hours:

This is full-time role (37 hours per week).

The Opportunity

Are you looking for your next exciting career move? Our Technology team are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist, the postholder will implement security technology and programs that protect the enterprise against unauthorised access to organisation, customer or partner data.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Responsible for providing specialist cyber security advice for projects and programmes, carrying out threat analysis, blocking security threats, and educating end users
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating new information security technologies and sharing knowledge with operations.
  • Manage stakeholders; raise any gaps in existing/new security solutions and make recommendations of how to be secure by design to minimize business risk.
  • Working closely with Information Management / Information Security and the Cyber Security Unit.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams on security matters.
  • Working with external partners, counterparts in Home Office Forces as well as the NCSC
What You'll Bring To The Team
  • Industry certification such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security, Architecture, Security+, Togaf, SABSA
  • An extensive background working in IT Security based roles, with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with XDR, configuration of multi-layer security solutions.
  • Experience with cyber security concepts, such as threat detections, incidents response, penetration testing (external / internal), malware and DDoS mitigation.
