Senior Dev Ops Engineer - Belfast (Hybrid) Who we are MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a US-headquartered software company with a well-established and growing Belfast engineering hub. Their flagship data intelligence platform helps some of the world's biggest organisations understand, classify and secure their data, reducing financial and regulatory risk in an environment of constantly changing laws and business drivers.

The Belfast engineering function is 35 to 40 strong and growing, with multiple hires made over the last year and a clearly defined product roadmap ahead. This role sits in a small, high-impact Dev Ops team and has been created purely through growth. What we're looking for A Senior Dev Ops Engineer who wants to make a genuine mark. Much of how the product is delivered to customers today is manual, and this hire will own automating it end to end from the deployment and production side.

You will report directly into the Principal Engineer and Tech Lead, with real scope to shape how Dev Ops is done across the business, mature the automation process and bring your own opinions and ideas to the table. You will also coach and mentor more junior engineers and take the lead when needed. What you will be doing Automating product delivery end to end across deployment and production environments Designing, building and optimising CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, with Groovy scripting and Git workflows Deploying and maintaining high-availability workloads in Kubernetes and Docker Provisioning and managing infrastructure with Terraform or similar tooling Working across Azure production environments and on-premise development environments Monitoring and improving platform health with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Datadog Coaching and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers What you will need Hands-on experience in a Dev Ops, SRE or Platform Engineering role In-depth Kubernetes experience Cloud experience with Azure, AWS or GCP Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash or Groovy Experience building and optimising CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform or similar A self-starter mindset with the confidence to provide feedback and hold an opinion Desirable: knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability scanning, experience with data platforms such as Postgres and MongoDB in Kubernetes or cloud environments, and cloud or Dev Ops certifications.
