We are now looking for a Technology Practitioner to join us on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role
As a Technology Practitioner, you will empower blind and visually impaired veterans to overcome barriers to technology, promoting digital inclusion, independence and wellbeing.
Working as part of the National Digital Inclusion Team, you will deliver solution-focused rehabilitation programmes that help members develop the skills and confidence to access technology and the internet.
You will collaborate with colleagues across community and centre services to provide tailored support, maintain expertise in assistive technology and deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions that improve everyday life.
Additionally, you will:
- Deliver between 50 and 60 rehabilitation programmes each year
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assistive technology, software and applications
- Provide digital inclusion support and awareness training to colleagues and volunteers
- Carry out remote support and home visits where required
- Attend national planning and professional development events
About You
To be considered as a Technology Practitioner, you will need:
- A nationally recognised Training Qualification and/or practical experience of delivering training
- Knowledge of Assistive and/or Smart Technology
- An understanding of mobile phone systems and/or accessibility features
- An understanding of assessing peoples needs
- Knowledge or willingness to undergo training relating to the field of vision impairment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to verbally explain complex and abstract instructions clearly
- Willingness to travel
