Senior Ansible Automation Engineer Remote

Lead enterprise automation initiatives as a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer in Toronto, ON, with a preference for remote shifts from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. EST. Focus on automating Windows and Linux infrastructure through scalable solutions.

This contract role requires a seasoned professional with 7+ years of experience in Ansible Automation and server administration across both Windows and Linux platforms. The successful candidate will design and maintain effective Ansible playbooks, automating workflows, and improving overall security and compliance. Key competencies include Power Shell and Bash scripting, alongside a strong command of Git and YAML.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Ansible playbooks

• Automate server provisioning and configuration management

• Build approval-based deployment pipelines across environments

• Integrate automation with monitoring tools and Service Now

• Mentor teams and promote automation standards

Requirements:

• 7+ years in Ansible Automation and Windows Server Administration

• Proficient in Power Shell and Bash/Shell scripting

• Experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, and Infrastructure Automation

• Strong knowledge of Git and YAML

• Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
