Service Design & Transition Manager required to join an enterprise level Digital IT function supporting a complex portfolio of change across 80+ concurrent projects ranging from short initiatives through to multi-year transformation programmes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that new and changed services are designed, governed, and transitioned smoothly into live operational environments.

You’ll work across a wide range of projects covering systems, IT support, infrastructure, and business units, ensuring services are designed with operational supportability in mind and that transitions into BAU are seamless. You will work with stakeholders and act as the bridge between project delivery teams and operational support functions, ensuring readiness, risk management, and service assurance are embedded from the outset.
We are looking for a Service Design & Transition Manager with experience in:
- Strong background in IT Service Management (ITIL v3 essential, ITIL v4 awareness is desirable)
- Proven experience in Service Design and Service Transition within IT projects and programmes at enterprise level
- Ability to anticipate risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and influence stakeholders accordingly
- Experience in defining, developing and delivering process workflows, SLAs, OLAs, and support models
- Strong understanding of operational readiness, service assurance, and handover into BAU
- Excellent stakeholder management across technical, business, and third-party teams
- Experience in managing RAID logs and governance frameworks
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
They are offering a package of up to £65,000 (including bonus) and great benefits, as well as mostly remote working, currently just twice a month at their office in Worthing - though please note this might increase to 1 - 2 days a week down the line.
