The  Workflow & IT Solution Specialist  is responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, and optimization of laboratory automation and IT solutions within customer environments. This role ensures the successful deployment and integration of diagnostic systems and workflows, aligning technical solutions with laboratory operational needs.
The specialist works closely with laboratory staff, customers, and cross-functional teams to execute standard and customized configurations, support system installation, and drive effective adoption of automation solutions. They provide technical expertise, user training, and ongoing support to ensure systems operate efficiently, improve workflow performance, and enhance overall laboratory productivity.
This position reports to the Workflow & IT Manager and is part of the Customer Service EMEA team. The role partners closely with upstream Product teams and downstream functions including Sales, Marketing, and Project Management, and plays a key role in post-sales support. The position is based in Italy and operates in a remote working model.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To   Support the installation, configuration, validation, and integration of laboratory automation and diagnostic IT systems.
Provide on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
Deliver training to laboratory staff and customers, ensuring effective system adoption and user proficiency.
Analyze workflows and identify opportunities to optimize laboratory efficiency through automation improvements.
Act as a technical expert in automation solutions, supporting both customers and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards in all implementations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, PMO, Service, R&D) to ensure successful project delivery.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of system activities, performance, and continuous improvement actions.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include   Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience in laboratory automation, diagnostic systems, or related environments.
Strong technical knowledge of automated diagnostic systems, middleware, and laboratory workflows.
Proficiency with relevant IT systems, software tools, and diagnostic technologies.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to deliver training and support effectively.
Fluency in Italian and English, plus an additional EU language (Spanish, French, or German).
Flexibility to travel 50-70% of the time across Italy or Europe and work flexible hours as business needs require

Working within a European or international team
Managing projects in complex laboratory or hospital environments
