The SIAM Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Manager is accountable for leading and governing the end-to-end Service Asset and Configuration Management process across a complex multi-supplier environment. The role is outcome-focused, ensuring that asset and configuration information is accurate, reliable, and effectively managed throughout its lifecycle to support service delivery, operational decision-making, and risk management. The SACM Manager will provide strategic oversight of the CMDB and asset management practices, drive cross-supplier compliance with SACM policies and standards, and ensure configuration data integrity across the service landscape.

Through effective governance, supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and continual improvement, the role contributes to enhanced service visibility, improved operational resilience, reduced service risk, and the delivery of measurable business value.

Hybrid working:

Own and govern the end-to-end Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) process across a multi-supplier service environment, ensuring asset and configuration information is accurate, controlled, and aligned with business and service needs.

Provide strategic oversight of the CMDB and asset management practices, ensuring configuration items, relationships, and dependencies are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.

Lead collaboration with suppliers, service providers, and internal teams to drive compliance with SACM policies, standards, governance controls, and contractual obligations.

Oversee configuration audits, data quality reviews, and compliance activities, ensuring risks, discrepancies, and control weaknesses are identified and addressed.

Produce and present SACM reporting, performance metrics, and management information, providing insights to support operational governance, risk management, and decision-making.

Drive continual improvement initiatives to enhance CMDB accuracy, asset visibility, process maturity, and supplier performance, contributing to improved service resilience and operational effectiveness across the SIAM ecosystem.

Proven experience in Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), Configuration Management, Service Management, or Service Integration leadership roles within complex multi-supplier IT environments.

Strong understanding of SIAM principles, supplier governance, and the management of asset and configuration data across multiple suppliers, service towers, and technology platforms.

Demonstrable experience managing CMDB governance, asset lifecycle management, configuration audits, and data quality initiatives to ensure accurate and reliable configuration information.

Strong knowledge of ITSM best practices, including SACM, Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Service Level Management, with a solid understanding of ITIL frameworks.

Ability to analyse configuration, asset, and service performance data to identify risks, compliance issues, improvement opportunities, and drive enhanced operational resilience.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence suppliers, drive governance compliance, and collaborate effectively with technical teams, operational stakeholders, and senior leaders.
