The SIAM Release Manager is accountable for leading and governing the end-to-end Release Management process across a complex multi-supplier environment. The role is outcome-focused, ensuring that release activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered in alignment with business priorities while minimising risk and disruption to live services. The Release Manager will provide governance across the release lifecycle, drive cross-supplier collaboration, and ensure suppliers meet their release management obligations, performance commitments, and quality standards.

Through effective planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and continual improvement, the role contributes to improved service quality, enhanced end-user experience, increased operational stability, and the delivery of measurable business value.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
  • Own and govern the end-to-end Release Management process across a multi-supplier service environment, ensuring releases are planned, approved, scheduled, and implemented in line with business and service objectives.
  • Lead cross-supplier release planning and coordination activities, ensuring dependencies, risks, resource requirements, and deployment schedules are effectively managed.
  • Provide oversight of the release lifecycle, ensuring suppliers adhere to agreed release processes, governance controls, quality standards, and service commitments.
  • Chair release governance forums and stakeholder meetings, facilitating collaboration, resolving conflicts, and driving accountability for release readiness and successful delivery.
  • Manage release-related risks, issues, and escalations, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions are implemented to minimise disruption to live services and business operations.
  • Produce release management reporting, performance metrics, and insights, while driving continual improvement initiatives to enhance release quality, service stability, and delivery outcomes across the SIAM ecosystem.

Your skills and experience
  • Proven experience in Release Management, Service Management, or Service Integration within complex multi-supplier IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of SIAM principles, supplier governance, and the coordination of services and releases across multiple suppliers and service towers.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex release schedules, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM practices, including Release, Change, Incident, Service Level, and Supplier Management, with a solid understanding of ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience producing and presenting release governance reporting, performance metrics, and management information to operational teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence suppliers, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and drive continual improvement across the SIAM ecosystem.
