The Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the bank adheres to national and international cybersecurity regulations. This position requires a strategic thinker who can bridge technical expertise with regulatory requirements to mitigate risks and enhance the bank’s security posture. The role is ideal for professionals passionate about safeguarding digital assets in a dynamic financial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular cybersecurity audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security protocols and incident response plans.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Monitor emerging threats and recommend proactive measures to strengthen defenses.
- Expertise in cybersecurity compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, POPIA).
- Proficiency in risk management tools and vulnerability assessment techniques.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with incident response and digital forensics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISA, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years in cybersecurity compliance, risk management, or information security roles.
- Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience.
