Job Description & How to Apply Below

The University of Greater Manchester is looking for a skilled, proactive and technically competent Data and Reporting Manager to join our Off Campus Division, which manages a significant portfolio of collaborative provision partnerships.

Reliable, well-managed data underpins planning, performance monitoring, partner support and decision‑making. You will strengthen reporting, dashboards and data quality, acting as the Division’s key contact for student data and supporting governance, compliance, student number planning, forecasting and operational insight.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop reports, dashboards and analytical tools that provide clear, accurate insight for student number planning, forecasting, financial monitoring, governance and operational decision‑making.

You will support ongoing data quality through regular reviews, checks and controls, while resolving complex data queries for the Division and partners. You will also maintain documentation and SOPs, support a single source of truth, and work with colleagues to improve data management processes and deliver provision‑specific training.

About You

You will be a confident data and reporting professional with practical Higher Education experience in data, reporting, student records, planning or a related area. You will also have experience of developing reports, dashboards and analytical outputs using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel and/or other relevant data analysis tools, together with recent experience of SITS or another Tribal HE student records system.

You will bring a strong understanding of data quality, analysis, management and reporting. You will be able to communicate clearly, work proactively, exercise judgement, deliver to deadlines and contribute collaboratively to continuous improvement.
